About Naatu Beat

Dance is the vehicle.
Naatu Beat is the platform.

Naatu Beat was founded by Sudhesh Somu with a clear belief: young people need more opportunities to move, connect and express themselves.

Technology is part of modern life, but young people also need positive opportunities to step away from their screens, reconnect with their bodies, interact with others and express themselves creatively. Dance provides a powerful way to create that balance.

Through movement, participants can develop confidence, communication, teamwork, creativity, discipline and a stronger sense of belonging.

Rooted in authentic Tamil and Kuthu dance and culture, Naatu Beat welcomes people from all backgrounds. Sudhesh’s personal connection to movement and resilience is reflected in the brand’s dancer silhouette, inspired by a photograph taken during his involvement in the NQ Games.

The vision is for Naatu Beat to grow beyond a dance school and become a platform that uses dance, culture and creative movement to make a positive contribution to young people and the wider community.

MOVE
